Thomas Harding is an international bestselling author and award-winning journalist. His book HANNS AND RUDOLF was shortlisted for the Costa Biography Award in 2013, won the JQ-Wingate Prize in 2015, has been translated into more than eighteen languages and has been optioned to be made into a film. His book, KADIAN JOURNAL received wide critical acclaim and was serialized in The Times and Washington Post. His book THE HOUSE BY THE LAKE was shortlisted for the Costa Biography Award in 2015, longlisted for the Orwell Prize 2016, serialized on BBC’s Book Of The Week, has been translated into six languages and optioned for a TV series. Thomas holds dual American and British citizenship.

Thomas Harding has written for the Financial Times, Sunday Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Spiegel among other publications. He has been interviewed by numerous national and international TV and radio stations, hosted a weekly radio programme, narrated audiobooks and presented for BBC television. 

Thomas is also the president of Alexander Haus, an interational project to transform his family's former lake house near Berlin into a centre for education and reconciliation.
